OCWA, established in 2009 in the heart of Al-Hussein Refugee Camp, provides a vital space for arts and creative exploration for Palestinian children. This center plays a crucial role in connecting the children to their Palestinian culture and heritage, offering them a dedicated environment and resources to nurture their artistic talents.
As part of The Orenda Tribe’s ongoing commitment to social impact, we have launched our new Art for Hope workshops. For every t-shirt sold from our summer collection, we enroll a child in these workshops. Recently, we welcomed 20 children aged 8 to 10 from OCWA to our art space. The workshop included storytelling and artistic activities designed to cultivate a positive and growth mindset. We focused on discussing their dreams and hopes, followed by practices aimed at building resilience and a positive outlook to achieve these aspirations.
In addition, on the same day, we distributed 75 long-sleeve cotton shirts to OCWA to be shared with those in need within the refugee camp as we approach the winter season.
